Walk Naked to Prove Your Love

A 38-year-old woman walked naked along the streets of the Portuguese city of Guarda; she did it to prove her love to her husband, whom she had married two months ago.

According to the Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha, Maria Manuela walked the streets with only her shoes on, and her husband, with all his clothes on, walked a few steps behind her. The unusual walk lasted until police stopped the couple.

The woman told police that she promised her husband she would do anything for him. Maria Manuela said in an interview to the newspaper that all doubts concerning the love between her and her husband disappeared after her brave act.

The husband, a 39-year-old man, said that he had asked his wife to walk naked along the streets as he “had a few doubts concerning his wife’s honesty.” However, he added that if his wife asks him to walk naked in the streets, he will immediately do so.

Police released the couple, no one complained about Maria Manuela’s conduct.
