Spanish woman Maria Rosa Bartroli was very unhappy to know about the fact that a Spanish court ordered her to pay the fine of 620 Euro. She decided to set out her protest about it and paid the fine in once-cent coins.
Maria’s relatives helped her to bring nine plastic bags of 62 thousand coins to the court. The unusual fine weighed nearly 500 kilos. At first, the court cashier was not willing to take those bags of money. However, the was later ordered to issue the payment certificate to the fined woman. The cashier warned Maria that the money was going to be recounted anyway.
The Spanish woman had to pay for her hot temper: she boxed her cousin in the ear, having broken his glasses. Maria did not agree with the court verdict. Protesting, she has been collecting one-cent Euro coins since February of the current year.
