All-Russia Fall Dog Show representing all breeds will be held in Moscow on November 2-3 at the Znamenski Brothers Stadium. The organizer of the show is the revived "Russian Imperial Society for traditional hunting and pure-blood dog-breeding" established back in 1873 by Count Vasili Sheremetyev.
The society presently has over 5,000 members. Its branches are spread over almost 60 regions in Russia. It's also represented in foreign countries - the United States, France, Holland, Kazakhstan, Kirghizstan, Poland, and Ukraine.
In the future, the society plans to experiment with hunting birds and conduct hunts with them.
The present dog show is the fourth in a row organized by the society. Three major exhibitions and 10 breed-based contests will be held in the context of the show. More than a thousand dogs of 130 breeds from all Russia are expected to participate in the competition.
