Samuel Curtis Johnson III, a billionaire executive, whose family has owned the cleansers manufacturer for five generations, is facing charges related to accusations that he had sexual contact with his now 15-year-old stepdaughter over the course of several years.
According to a criminal complaint posted by Forbes, Samuel Curtis Johnson III faces up to 40 years in prison for allegedly assaulting the girl, now 15 years old.
In the document, Johnson's stepdaughter was identified as "T.S." She told a Racine County Sheriff's Department investigator there was a "touching problem" with Johnson and that he's addicted to sex, NBC Chicago reports.
Johnson, 55, did not enter a plea during a court appearance Thursday, but immediately paid a $500,000 bond. He was released, forced to surrender his passport and banned from leaving the state or being in proximity to the girl.
Johnson is accused of molesting the girl 15 to 20 times, beginning the summer between sixth and seventh grade, Repishak said.
Johnson is estimated to be worth $2.2 billion and is ranked 595 on the Forbe's Billionaires List, according to ABC News.
At a preliminary hearing the state must show that there is probable cause that a crime was committed and that the accused probably committed it.
If probable cause is established at the hearing, Johnson would be bound over for trial. He is facing a maximum sentence of 40 years, including 25 years in prison and 15 years of supervision, if convicted, Journal Times reports.
