New color display iPod from Apple contains U2's digital compilation

&to=http://english.pravda.ru/main/2002/01/21/25883.html' target=_blank>Apple Computer Inc. on Tuesday introduced a new larger-capacity iPod with a color display as well as a first-of-its-kind digital compendium of the rock band U2's songs.

U2's lead singer Bono and guitarist The Edge joined Apple chief executive Steve Jobs on stage in a newly renovated 1920s era theater in San Jose to unveil the new products, informs ABC News.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the massive download also includes U2's latest album, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb," which will be released Nov. 23. "U2 and Apple have a special relationship where they can start to redefine the music business," said Jimmy Iovine, chairman of UMG's Interscope Geffen A&M Records. "The iPod along with iTunes is the most complete thought that we've seen in music in a very long time."
