International film festival for children and youth to open in Moscow

On December 20, the 20th Moscow International film festival for children and youth will be opened in the House of Motion Picture of the Russian Union of Moviemakers.

The competition program of the festival will be made of 12 films made by moviemakers from Russia, France, Finland, Germany, the USA, South Korea, Singapore, Sweden, Lithuania, Hungary, Spain and Israel. One adult and two children's boards of juries will assess the program.

In addition to the competition program the following special programs will be presented within the framework of the festival: "Panorama", "New meeting", "Our children", "Special show" and "A fairytale for children".

The festival will last till January 8, 2004.
