Russian circus actors have won an international contest of circus art in Saratov, Volga Area.
Gold medals went to Dmitry Dosov and his acrobats, who performed turns with a toss-up board, and Valter Zapashny's Wild Beasts feature. Silver medals were delivered to Mongolian actors, while bronze medals were shared by Germany and Russia.
In all, the contest gathered almost 200 contenders from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Germany, Hungary, Mongolia and Kenya, who presented the public with 52 new features.
Chairman of the international jury, People's Artist of the USSR Mstislav Zapashny praised the success of the Russians, who managed to win the contest as well as make contracts with 30 impresarios from different countries.
