The Living Water 2nd all-Russia film festival opened in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky /the administrative centre of the Kamchatka region/ on Saturday, September 20.
Over 40 works by cinematographers from all the Russian regions will be presented at the festival, the press service of the regional administration told RIA Novosti.
Films and reels will compete in five categories: a documentary, a TV programme, a popular science film, an educational film for children and a commercial.
The Living Water all-Russia film festival is held to attract attention to the problems of developing, rational use and preservation of biological resources of the Pacific Ocean with the help of cinema and TV means.
