The Siberia exhibition featuring works by famous artists from Krasnoyarsk (Siberia), Germany and the Netherlands opened in Berlin on Friday evening.
"We are happy that this exhibition already enjoyed great success in France and the Netherlands and are convinced that Germany will show great interest in it, as well," Dutch artist Carla Kleekamp heading this international exhibition project said at the opening ceremony in the Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin.
The Siberia exhibition organised as part of the Year of Russian Culture in Germany features paintings, graphics, photographs and ceramics reflecting the endless variety of Siberian motifs.
The German and Dutch artists participating in the exhibition are expected to come to Krasnoyarsk with it in autumn 2004 at an invitation from the administration of the Krasnoyarsk territory.
The Siberia exhibition will be open in Berlin till September 19, 2003.
