On August 15 this Friday, Primorye will be the site of an international biker festival, "Facing the Ocean", with an expected stunning show of vintage motor-cycles. It was specially for this event that the Vladivostok antique motor technology museum provided exhibits which wheeled to Nakhodka, a port on the Western coast of the Sea of Japan, 100 kilometres away from the Primorye central city, by themselves.
Among them were Britain's BSA of the 1918 year make, the sporting Harley of 1938 and the Soviet scooter "Vyatka", 1960.
Mounting their own bikes, participants have come to Primorye from the USA, Germany, Finland, Poland, Ukraine and other countries of Europe, Asia and America. Some of the competitors from Moscow, the Urals, Siberia and the Far East had to motor cycle 10,000-15,000 kilometres to reach Nakhodka.
