St. Petersburg to host days of South Korea

Saint Petersburg will host the Days of South Korea today.

A festival of South Korean films, photo-exhibitions, contemporary fine arts exhibitions and a South Korean national costume show are on the cultural program of the Days. Leading South Korean designers from the town of Taegu (a sister-city of Saint Petersburg) will show their works. Group of the South Korean Contemporary Dance "Chanmuhoe" will play on the stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. The play will be devoted to South Korean history.

A scientific seminar will take place in Saint Petersburg State University. Korean experts studying the Russian language and literature will discuss prospects for the development of the Russian philology in South Korea and Korea area studies in Russia together with Russian experts of the Korean language and literature.

Russian and Korean businessmen will conduct a round table discussions on prospects for bilateral trade and investment cooperation. Two more Russo - South-Korean seminars will be devoted to Russo - South-Korean scientific, hi-tech and tourist cooperation.

The Day of South Korea in Saint Petersburg will end on August 17.
