The Moscow city administration is planning to hold a Moscow Days programme in Berlin from July 2 to 5. The opening ceremony will take place in Berlin's central concert hall and will feature a delegation from Moscow headed by Yuri Luzhkov, the mayor of Moscow, as well as Klaus Wowereit, the mayor of Berlin. The two mayors will open a science and industry exhibition and an exhibition on architecture and town planning in Moscow in Berlin's city hall. Luzhkov and Wowereit will also hold a joint round-table discussion devoted to using Moscow and Berlin's scientific and economic potential to strengthen economic ties.
The Moscow Days will also include a book fair and a video conference called Moscow - Berlin, which will be devoted to educational issues. The conference will beheld on July 2 and will feature around 600 Russian and German students.
