An exhibition of wax replicas called "The History of Russia from Peter I to the Present Day" opens in Berlin on Friday evening.
The opening of the exhibition, which is part of the program of the Year of Russian Culture in Germany, was timed to coincide with the celebration of St. Petersburg's 300th anniversary, Anatoly Bogushevsky, Director of the Berlin-based Russian House of Science and Culture, told RIA Novosti.
The exposition, which is open until August 30, features life-size replicas of 29 most famous persons in Russian history /Peter I, Catherine the Great, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Vladimir Lenin, Mikhail Gorbachev, Vladimir Putin, etc./, clad in accordance with the fashion of their times.
