A concert of the legendary ex-Beatle Paul McCartney will take place in Moscow's Red Square.
Sir Paul's performance is part of the musician's European tour "Back in the World", which started in Paris on March 25 and is to end on May 30 in Glasgow. In the event organizers' words, McCartney made it a condition that his first concert in Russia take place in Red Square.
Paul McCartney will perform songs from his latest albums, as well as the hits he wrote as one of the Beatles back then: Let it Be, Hey Jude, Yesterday, Back in the USSR.
Public order during the concert will be ensured by over one thousand police officers, the capital's Main Interior Affairs Department (GUVD) told RIA Novosti. 1050 people will be involved in ensuring security during the event, 650 of whom are Moscow policemen and the rest Interior Troops servicemen.
The dress rehearsal of Paul McCartney's concert is to start at 16:30 Moscow time, while the performance itself will start at 20:00, the GUVD reported.
