India will host the Days of Russian Culture on November 1-8.
The proper protocol was signed by representatives of the Russian and Indian Culture Ministries in New Delhi on Thursday.
The document was signed on the basis of the proposed programme of exchanges in the spheres of culture, science and education between Russia and India for 2003-2005 and the protocol of the meeting of the intergovernmental commission for trade and economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation in Moscow on May 15-16.
The cultural events will take place in New Delhi, Calcutta, the capital of West Bengal, and Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. More than 100 Russian actors will participate in the festival.
Exhibitions of decorative-applied arts and photography will be held as part of the Culture Days.
The Days of Indian Culture in Russia will be held in September-October 2004, said a spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Culture.
