A photo exhibition, "Chechnya: a Hard Road to Peace," will open in Paris on May 14. A RIA Novosti correspondent was told about it in the information department of the President of the Russian Federation.
The spokesman for the information department specified that the exhibition would be open for seven days in the Russian Cultural Centre of the French capital. "Already now, before its opening, the exhibition arouses a high interest among the French public and the mass media," noted the department spokesman.
In the context of the exhibition, the Russian minister for Chechnya, Stanislav Ilyasov, will hold a round-table conference at which he plans to discuss the political and humanitarian situation in the republic and also the coming elections there, added the spokesman for the information department.
