Russian President Vladimir Putin will make an official visit to Turkey on September 2 to 3, 2004, the press service of the Russian President reported. The Russian head of state is expected to meet with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Necdet Sezer and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara and visit the city of Izmir.
The officials are planning to discuss current and future relations between the two countries and urgent international issues.
