President Putin offers condolences to Turkish leadership

Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered condolences to his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Sezer and Prime Minister Recep Erdogan in connection with a train crash in the province of Sakarya, the Kremlin press service reported.

"I heard of this major railway accident with deep regret. I express my sincere sympathy at the deaths of many people and want you to send my condolences to their families. I wish soonest recovery to those injured in the crash," Vladimir Putin's message reads.

All in all, 36 people were killed and 68 injured in the crash.
