President Vladimir Putin has arrived in the Kamchatka and is holding a conference with the command of the Pacific Fleet.
The conference is attended by the Pacific Fleet commander Viktor Fyodorov, commander of the Northeast troops and forces Viktor Gavrikov, deputy commander of the Pacific Fleet Vladimir Balan, commander of the 16th submarine squadron Alexander Neshcheret, Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov and his deputy Lyubov Kudelina.
The meeting began behind closed doors but is expected to be continued in the public regime later, when presidential aide Alexander Abramov, presidential representative in the Far Eastern Federal District Konstantin Pulikovsky, Kamchatka governor Mikhail Mashkovtsev, and director of the Federal Agency for Specialised Construction Nikolai Abroskin join the conferees.
