Russian President Vladimir Putin held two telephone talks with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili on the latter's initiative, said the Russian leader's press service.
The main topic for discussions was development of the crisis situation in Adzharia, an autonomy within Georgia.
By the Georgian side's proposal, Russian Security Council Secretary Igor Ivanov will fly to Tbilisi today, said the Kremlin press service.
A relevant agreement was reached during the phone talks.
According to the press service, Mr. Ivanov will hold relevant consultations in Tbilisi.
