Newly elected President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will be inaugurated for his second term on May 7, 2004, Alexander Veshnyakov, the head of the Central Election Commission, declared. According to him, this date is stated in the Russian Constitution. The inauguration must not be held after or earlier than May 7, 2004, as the presidential terms expires this day.
