Russia's best woman tennis player Anastasia Myskina has retained fifth place in the rating list of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). This became known after the new version of the rating list was published on Monday.
Myskina is a mere 50 points behind Lindsay Davenport of the USA who is in fourth place (the Russian has 2,950.00 and the American - 3,000.00 points).
The leading trio consists of two Belgians - Justine Henin-Hardenne (7,626.00 points) and Kim Clijsters (6,389.00), and Amelie Mauresmo of France (3,237.00).
Another Russian - Yelena Dementyeva with 2,251.00 points (eighth place) - figures among the top ten.
The list of the world's 100 best women players includes, along with Myskina and Dementyeva, also nine other Russians - 11. Nadezhda Petrova (1,992.75), 12. Vera Zvonareva (1,951.00), 14. Svetlana Kuznetsova (1,585.00), 23. Maria Sharapova (1,221.25), 32. Dinara Safina (977.75), 33. Yelena Bovina (965.00), 37. Lina Krasnorutskaya (851.00), 42. Yelena Likvovtseva (767.25), and 99. Vera Dushevina (383.75 points).
