The first three suits were brought against the owners of the Moscow Transvaal water park in a Moscow city court today. 28 people were killed and 106 injured when the park's roof collapsed last month. Three survivors of the catastrophe brought suits against European Technologies and Service in the amount of USD 300 thousand. All three received body injuries and two were hospitalized, said Igor Trunov who is the plaintiffs' lawyer.
Trunov said he and his clients were prepared to settle out of court or if necessary follow through the legal process. The court will determine a date for the first hearing within five days. Trunov said the dispute could last up to 2 to 3 months.
