Sibneft spokesman denies that company owes back taxes

'The many audits of our company by the specialists of the Audit Chamber of the Russian Federation have shown that Sibneft has committed no violations in paying its taxes,' Aleksey Firsov, the company's press secretary, declared Wednesday in a broadcast on radio station Ekho Moskvy. All company activities 'are in full compliance with Russia's financial laws,' he said. 'When we talk with representatives of the Tax and Collections Ministry, we will use these audits, which confirm the legality of all that we have done. We will put forward our arguments and once again show that all our activity is in accord with the law,' Firsov asserted.
