Ivanov and Powell to discuss Iraqi debts

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov and US Secretary of State Colin Powell will discuss the situation in the Middle East, the questions of Iraqi debts, strategic security and other important international and bilateral issues in Moscow on January 26, 2004, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry told journalists.

Among the topical issues to be considered by the two officials is a leak of dangerous technologies from Pakistan. The representative also noted that Powell and Ivanov were unlikely to touch upon the situation around YUKOS. "This is not the issue to be discussed by the foreign ministers," the source said.
