Interim director of Soyuz-igrushka-Ekaterinburg enterprise Irina Rakova said in an interview to Novy Region that these toys had been produced in China and probably there the microchip with the song about President Putin was inserted in the toys. "Probably this toy modifacation was ordered by some Russian businessmen - toy producers", Irina Rakova said. According to her, Russian sellers of goods for children often provide Chinese manufacturers with recommendations what songs and melodies should be inserted in toys. Along with the lot of the toys "singing" about President Putin, toys with other popular Russian melodies, such as "Happy New Year", "Cheburashka" were delivered in Ekaterinburg as well. Irina Rakova believes that the person who had ordered these toys wanted to attract attention not kid, but adult customers in the first place. Indeed, the toys singing "I want a guy like Putin" were in high demand. However, they may become rarities soon. The last lot had only 200 "political" animals, and they were allocated to the stores. "Chinese manufacturers said they were not going to stop delivering such toys to Russia", Irina Rakova said.
