The official results of the Russian State Duma elections have been posted at a meeting of the Russian Central Election Commission today. The pro-Kremlin United Russia party mustered 37.57 percent of the vote. Some 22,779,279 people supported this party. About 7.648m people (12.61 percent) supported the Communist party. Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) enjoyed support of 6.944m voters (11.45 percent); the Rodina (Motherland) bloc was supported by 5.47m voters (9.02 percent).
The Yabloko party received 4.3 percent of the vote (2.61m people), Union of Right Forces (SPS) mustered 3.97 percent (2.408m voters). The Agrarian Party of Russia was supported by 2.206m voters (3.64 percent).
Some 2,851,600 people (4.7 percent) voted against all.
