A powerful snow cyclone which hit Russia's Far East on Friday did not affect traffic of the Far-Eastern Railway, the press center of the railway told RIA Novosti on Saturday.
The cyclone entailed strong wind and heavy snowfalls, the press center said.
The cyclone hit a huge sector of the Trans-Siberian Railway from Ussuriisk to Khabarovsk. The snowfall was raging on the branch-line Khabarovsk-Sovetskaya Gavan and on the eastern and central sectors of the Baikail-Amur Railway.
However, there are no changes in the schedules of all the passenger and freight trains. Railway men and snow-removing trains were working all night long.
