One of the most important goals of Russian-Chinese trade and economic cooperation is the selling of machines and equipment on the Chinese market, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov, who is on a working visit to China, told journalists today. According to him, it meets Russia's task on diversifying its economy, which is the strengthening of the role of processing industries. So, the Russian government will try to gain favorable conditions for selling Russian products on the Chinese market, the PM noted.
Speaking about Russian-Chinese cooperation in the fuel and energy sector Kasyanov stressed that China was interested in large supplies from Russia, however, currently the solution for this issue was hindered due to the inconsiderable volume of crude in Russian regions bordering on China. At the same time, the PM underlined that in the future Russia would be able to fully satisfy China's demand. It is in line with Russia's energy strategy that envisages the exploration of Eastern Siberia and the Far East and takes into account Russian oil supplies to China, he added.
Kasyanov also expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation in the military, technical and energy spheres. He mentioned that Russia was planning to deepen cooperation with China in the space and civil aircraft sectors.
