Russian Economy Minister German Gref does not rule out the possibility that by the end of this year the Board of Directors of RAO UES will consider the question of the open selling of shares in wholesale energy generating companies. He made this statement to journalists in St. Petersburg.
The minister noted that these shares could be sold not only to RAO UES stockholders, since current legislation envisaged such a possibility. "It would be incorrect to monopolize the selling of stakes in these companies and sell them only to RAO UES shareholders," Gref remarked. Moreover, he thinks that these stocks might be sold at monetary auctions.
