Russia is ready to protect its interests in property disputes with Belarus, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov declared in Yalta (Ukraine) after negotiations with Acting Belarusian Prime Minister Sergey Sidorsky today. It concerns the property rights of the company Transnefteprodukt on pipelines that go through Belarus, the Russian PM specified. Kasyanov noted that he was surprised with Belarus's position that questioned Russia's right on joint transportation facilities.
The head of the Russian government also noted that Russia would protect its interests in the case on seizing shares in the Mozyr refinery, which had been made in accordance with the ruling of a Belarusian court.
