Representatives of the world's leading banks will gather together at the Banks of Russia forum, which will take place in Sochi on September 4-6. As a Rosbalt correspondent reports, this was announced today by President of the Russian Regional Banks Association Alexander Murychev. He said that over 600 people will attend the forum. All the leading banks in the world are expected to be represented including the World Bank, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and the Russian Central Bank.
Mr Murychev said the main aim of the forum is to 'prepare the Russian banking community for the changes that will take place in the Russian banking sector over the next few years. We want Russian banks to be ready for events that will undoubtedly take place in the near future such as Russia's accession to the WTO and the switch to international financial standards,' he stressed.
