Communist leader does not want to share power

Russia's Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov has stated his party is still open for Sergei Glaziev, leader of the Congress of Russian Communities, (who is not formally a member of the Communist Party but shares the Communists' position in many respects). "We believe Glaziev has some good ideas," Zyuganov said live at the Ekho Moskvy radio station.

Zyuganov added that all patriotic organisations had agreed to run for parliament together with the Communists and signed a common political document." "And in this situation, Glaziev remains alone, having no structure whatsoever," the Communist leader asserted.

Recently, Sergei Glaziev came up with an initiative to create a coalition of people's patriotic forces in view of the parliamentary elections. The Communist leader made it clear that the election bloc would be formed on the basis of the Communist Party.
