Foreign military spacecraft will be launched by Russian carrier rockets from the Plesetsk space vehicle launching site situated in the northern part of European Russia. The corresponding contract was signed on Thursday within the framework of the International Air and Space Show MAKS 2003 in Zhukovsky, the Moscow region, by the federal state enterprise Rosoboronexport and the Russian space troops with the German company OHB System. The launches will be made in 2005-2007, the press service of the Russian space troops reported.
Signing of the contract "testifies to the further expansion of cooperation between Russian aircraft-building enterprises and their western colleagues, and proves the existence of a big potential in Russian-German interaction," the press service pointed out.
Numerous visitors to the Space troops pavilion at MAKS 2003 believe that this exposition deserves special attention both for its design and for the stands and exhibits it presents, the press service added.
