Dollar keeps sliding against ruble

This afternoon, the weighted average dollar exchange rate with tomorrow settlements has amounted to RUR30.36, down RUR0.02 against the official dollar rate for August 12. The low on the dollar has been as little as RUR30.34. Analysts say that the ruble keeps on strengthening. This development makes a sag in the dollar rate at tomorrow's special session very likely. At the same time, dollar sellers have been inactive so far. As of 15:00 Moscow time the volume of trade totaled less than $26m. The gap between the low and the high on the dollar has increased to RUR0.05 from this morning's RUR0.03.
