Russia's power grid RAO UES is ready to reduce power tariffs for Georgia, which are currently five times higher than in Russia, RAO UES Chief Executive Officer Anatoly Chubais reported. "As the situation with payments improves, we will be able to start reducing the tariffs in a few months", he noted. Tariffs grew rapidly over the past five years, resulting in the protests of city residents and some political parties, the Russia Journal reported.
