Russia will supply Ukraine with approximately 200 thousand tonnes of grain in August, said Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 1.
According to the terms of the agreement, Kiev will pay for the supply of grain in the next year 'from a new harvest taking into account basic rates for bank credits.' Yanukovich said that Russian wheat will be transported to the industrial centers of Ukraine. The first deliveries of grain will begin directly after the completion of procedures for technically completing the agreement.
