Mongolian Prime Minister Nambaryn Enkhbayar begins his official trip to Russia by visiting the Chita region, Southern Siberia, reported the press service of the Mongolian Foreign Ministry.
The visit, which starts Thursday and ends on July 3, was prompted by an invitation from Enkhbayar's Russian counterpart Mikhail Kasyanov.
Apart from the Chita region, he will visit two other areas in Siberia, the Irkutsk and Kemerovo regions, where he will discuss ways to expand cooperation.
Moving to Moscow on June 30, he will start off the main part of his visit by holding talks with Mikhail Kasyanov, first tete-a-tete and then in the presence of the two countries' delegations. Results of the talks will be summed up in a joint communique.
On July 2, Enkhbayar will hold meetings with speakers of the upper and lower houses of the Russian Federal Assembly, Sergei Mironov and Gennady Seleznyov. In the evening, he will inaugurate the opening of Days of Mongolian Culture in Russia at Moscow's Bolshoi Theater.
The Mongolian premier will round off his trip by paying a visit to the research and production association Mashinostroyenie /Mechanical Engineering/, a company that will be providing Mongolia with electric power installations functioning with the help of air torrents.
He is also expected to have an audience with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
