Golden Telecom negotiating with Telenor

The Russian telecommunications company Golden Telecom has declared that it is negotiating with the Norwegian company Telenor on a possible acquisition of Russian telecom companies Comincom and Combellga, the press service of Golden Telecom reported. The parties are negotiating a possible exchange of Comincom and Combellga shares with a new issue of Golden Telecom shares.

Golden Telecom stressed that the talks were of a preliminary character. "At present there are no any concrete agreements on this question and it is not clear if any agreement will be achieved", sources in the company pointed out.
