Energy dialogue between Russia and the European Union is the centerpiece of the 6th annual common meeting of the European Business Congress, or the EBC, which opens in Moscow on Thursday.
The two-day congress is co-chaired by Alexei Miller of the Russian gas monopoly Gazprom and Tessen van Heydebreck of the Board of Deutsche Bank.
The program of the congress envisages an international conference called Energy Policy of Renewed Europe, with speeches delivered by Russian Vice Premier Viktor Khristenko, Chairman of the Board of Wintershall AG Reinier Zwitserloot, and Exxon Mobil Gas and Power Marketing President Dr. Stuart McGill.
All in all, the event has gathered more than 250 delegates and guests from 20 members of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, namely leaders of large companies and financial institutions, diplomats, and heads of international organizations and industrial associations.
