On Monday, the Ministry of Finance of Russia has effected a regular payment to pay off the Russian Federation's debt to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
As RIA Novosti was told in the Ministry of Finance, the payment amounted to 27,512,000 dollars.
The next payment is scheduled for June 17.
In May-June, Russia remitted about 840 million dollars to the IMF to pay off its debt, and a total of 2.1 billion dollars is to be paid to the Fund this year.
As of January 1, 2003, Russia's debt to the IMF was estimated at 6.4 billion dollars.
