Russia's Prosecutor-General: There used to be no suicide bombers in Chechnya

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prosecutor-General Vladimir Ustinov have held a working meeting, during which the latter reported the details of the terrorist act in North Ossetia, a North Caucasian republic that borders on Chechnya.

According to Ustinov's information, a bus explosion outside Mozdok at 7:30 in the morning killed 16 people and wounded several more. The bus was packed with officers, warrant officers and employed personnel.

According to preliminary reports, the explosion was set off by a woman suicide bomber. The site of the explosion is being examined by Federal Security Service /FSB/ officers and prosecutor's office employees.

The prosecutor-general said the prosecutor's office and the FSB were going to join forces to find out who had ordered the crime and locate the place that train suicide bombers. "There used to be no suicide bombers in Chechnya," he said. "This phenomenon came from other countries. We shall be looking for the camp that trains them and the channels that finance them."
