A spokesman for the Chechen administration has announced that a new government in Chechnya will be formed in the next two weeks.
According to him, Chechen administration head Ahmad Kadyrov has instructed Premier Anatoly Popov to prepare proposals for a new line-up of the republic's government, regional leaders and city administrations within two weeks.
The spokesman said that the decision to dismiss the present government had been taken in connection with the recently adopted Chechen Constitution.
He explained that, although the government and regional administration heads had been officially dismissed, they were continuing to carry out their duties, so the situation in the republic would not be affected at all.
