Russia's energy strategy envisages a stable level of gas and oil production, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Khristenko has told journalists after today's government meeting devoted to the Russian energy strategy through 2020.
Khristenko specified that, according to a moderate scenario, oil production might amount to 450m tons per year by 2010. According to the government's optimistic scenario, oil production may be some 520m tons annually.
Gas production is expected to fluctuate between 680bn and 730bn cubic meters annually, Khristenko pointed out.
