Transneft reports rise in net profit

The net profit of the oil transportation company Transneft advanced 23.7 percent in 2002 and amounted to almost 13.449bn rubles (about $434m), a source in the company reported to RBC. This data was approved at a meeting of the Transneft board of directors yesterday evening.
