The VIII Polish national exhibition POLEXPORT-2003, which will open in Kaliningrad on May 20, will be the largest ever exhibition of Polish goods in Russia. As a Rosbalt correspondent reports, this was announced today by Deputy Director of the Polish-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Markets Marek Starchevsky.
About 300 different enterprises and firms will take part at the exhibition, representing all the Polish provinces and all the national industries. Almost 30 Lithuanian firms will also be displaying their products at the exhibition.
Mr Starchevsky said that Deputy Polish Prime Minister Marek Pol is expected to take part at the opening of the exhibition, which will emphasize the interest of Polish business circles in establishing economic ties with Russia via the Kaliningrad Region. 'Poland is not only interested in increasing sales. Polish businessmen are ready to sign mutually profitable investment agreements with Russian counterparts and collaborate on the basis of modern technology to produce goods together,' Mr Starchevsky added.
