Russian Olympic Committee and Samsung Electronics sign agreement of cooperation

The Russian Olympics Committee and Samsung Electronics signed an agreement of cooperation today at the club of sports journalists in Moscow. As a Rosbalt correspondent was told by President of the Russian Olympics Committee Leonid Tyagachev 'the Russian national team will be able to prepare in a worthy manner and then take part at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens as a result of this agreement. One of the main tasks of the committee is to find as many sponsors as possible so that the Russian team can prepare properly for upcoming competitions,' Mr Tyagachev emphasised.

Samsung Electronics has been collaborating with the Russian Olympic Committee for four years. The company was the official sponsor of the Russian national team for the first time at the Olympic games in 2000 and in 2001 the company became an official partner of the Olympic Committee in Russia.
