The RAO UES cut its power exports by 6 percent in 2002 against the year 2001 to some 16.680bn kWh. The figures were posted in the company's 2002 report.
In spite of the export reduction, the company's earnings from exports grew and reached $292m in 2002 against $254.1m in 2001.
Since the fourth quarter of 2002, a part of the RAO UES exports to the CIS is in charge of the electric giant's subsidiary Inter RAO UES. The latter's 2002 total exports of electric power amounted to 848.3m kWh.
