Boris Aleshin Will Be In Charge Of Industrial And Scientific-Technical Policy

Vice-chairman of the government of Russia Boris Aleshin will coordinate the work of the federal bodies of executive power on questions of industrial and scientific-technical policy, says the new distribution of powers among the Vice-Premiers signed by the Prime Minister.

The questions of the innovation policy, support of entrepreneurship, and small and medium-size business will be under Boris Aleshin's competence. The Vice-Premier has been instructed to be in charge of the questions of reduction of the administrative restrictions in the economy. The questions of the anti-trust policy, of the state investment policy and stimulation of private investments are in the sphere of his competence.

Aleshin has also been instructed to deal with the questions of mobilisation readiness of the economy, the state support of industrial export, and trade and economic cooperation with foreign countries. Alongside this, the Premier will deal with the questions of technical regulation, standardisation, metrology and certification, patent affairs and export control.
