Chernogolovka Receives Participants of European 100 km Race Championship

Sportsmen from 16 countries will take part in the European 100 km highway race to be held in Chernogolovka (Moscow region). Tournament organizers stated at a press conference that the tournament started on Friday and the races would be held in the course of Saturday, March 19.

It is worth noting that the small Moscow regional settlement of Chernogolovka beat Florence (Italy) to win the right to hold the prestigious track and field event.

Super-marathon runners from Russia, Germany, Belgium, France, Belarus, Denmark, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Portugal, Hungary, Latvia, Slovakia and Czechia will participate in the European 100 km highway race championship. Among them are champions and winners of European and World championships.

According to the tournament regulations, each team shall consist of 9 sportsmen out of whom 6 will be running and the results of the best three sportsmen from every participating country will be considered.

Alongside the European championship, the Russian 100 km race and 50 km race championships will be held.

On the same day children's races will be organized in Chernogolovka and guests of the tournament will watch the entertainment program.
